The story behind Robonova.i & THE TEAM

What Can We Hold On to When We Feel Lost?

In 2024, Mark Wu was riding across China. He had already reached a certain degree of financial freedom, and for the first time, he had the space to simply observe the world around him.

When he arrived in Chongqing, something caught his attention.

Flowers and cups of milk tea covered a bridge.

He later learned that a young man had recently jumped from that bridge after suffering emotional heartbreak.

But what stayed with Mark was not simply the heartbreak itself.

It was the fact that, afterward, he was not understood by the people closest to him.

His family dismissed what had happened, telling him that he had brought it upon himself for being deceived in an online relationship.

Mark began to think:

How many people are going through the same kind of loneliness — feeling hurt, misunderstood, and with no one to turn to?

And then came another question:

When someone feels lost, what can they hold on to?

What if technology could do more than solve problems?

What if it could listen? Understand? And simply stay?

That question became one of the starting points for Robonova.i.

It was also the inspiration behind Eva.i, whose earliest incarnation was designed as a psychological counselor — an AI companion created not simply to provide answers, but to listen, understand, and be there when someone needs companionship most.

Heng Wu (Mark)

Founder & CEO

Mark Wu is a serial entrepreneur with a background in AI, intelligent systems, and robotics. Since 2015, he has founded and led technology ventures across AI platforms, smart systems, and robotics, with experience spanning both B2B and consumer-oriented projects.

In 2025, Mark founded Robonova.i with a vision to bring together AI, IP, and embodied robotics and create a new generation of intelligent companions.

Dr. Miao

CTO, AI Models

Dr. Miao holds a BSc from Qinghua University and a PhD from the University of Washington, with over 20 years of experience in AI research. His work has been published at ACM SIGKDD, IJCAI, and other leading conferences. He previously held roles at Microsoft Research, Bing, and LinkedIn.

Jinyan Wu (Jane)

Director of Marketing & Operations

A graduate of Temple University, Jinyan Wu began her career as a content creator before moving into marketing and operations. She leads Robonova's global marketing, content, and community growth, helping bring the brand and its characters to audiences around the world.

Dr. Sun

CTO, Electronic Skin Technology

Dr. Sun holds a PhD from Kyushu University and previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher and senior engineer at SIAT, Chinese Academy of Sciences. With over 10 years of experience in flexible sensing technology and commercialization, he leads Robonova's work in electronic skin and intelligent sensing.
